Aravec Clarke: Project Management

Javier Prado Clinic, San Isidro

Design project management

1993
Lima, Peru

The brief was to design an identity for the façades of a private clinic in the heart of San Isidro. A proposal was developed based on the application of a stylised 'Star of Life' icon (commonly used on ambulances in the Americas) using bold colour combinations. The proposal considered the structural characteristics of the building in order to enhance the overall colour scheme design.

Design project management provision consisted of the following:

  • Establishing the brief.
  • Developing colour schemes that took into account the architectural characteristics of the building.
  • Developing customised colour palettes for formula preparation.
  • Briefing contractors for the paint job and providing detailed plans and colour specifications.
  • Overseeing the paint job onsite.
